Shel Silverstein Reimagined

With these illustrations, I wanted to recreate some of my favorite illustrations and poems from Shel Silverstein’s, “A Light in the Attic”, and “Falling Up”. I wanted to use a fun, line heavy, brightly covered style to reimagine the beautiful illustrations that Silverstein had created for his work. My goal of this work to emphasize a style I can recreate consistently, experiment with color palettes and increase my understanding of how spot illustrations integrate with the written word.
